Marti got me a Starbucks coffee this morning, and we were both amused by the quote on his cup. I took a look at mine and thought it was good, too, considering the amount of political debating I’ve been (compulsively) doing. (I really cannot help myself). Anyway, here they are:

The Way I See It #289
So-called “global warming” is just a secret ploy by wacko tree-huggers to make America energy independent, clean our air and water, improve the fuel efficiency of our vehicles, kick-start 21st-century industries, and make our cities safer and more livable. Don’t let them get away with it! –Chip Giller, Founder of Grist.org, where environmentally minded people gather online.

The Way I See It #280
You can learn a lot more from listening than you can from talking. Find someone with whom you don’t agree in the slightest and ask them to explain themselves at length. Then take a seat, shut your mouth, and don’t argue back. It’s physically impossible to listen with your mouth open. –John Moe, Radio host and author of Conservatize Me.
