I plead technical difficulty! Some components from our camera are still missing, so Marti has to download the pics, zip them to a flash drive, and then I re-download to my computer. Yes, I know, I could just use his laptop, except that I like the use of my fingers and he’s touchy about his secret love, otherwise known as the new laptop.

Anyway, the pictures are late, but still cute.

Ben premieres as Darth Vader, with a — you guessed it! — Darth Vader candy bucket. He loved this costume, and still likes to wear it around. He would wear it to school every day if I let him.

Here’s a cool, “ghostly” version.

Maya was, like, painfully cute as a little witch. We originally wanted her to be Yoda, but the costumes were all sold out all over Tucson, so we had to improvise. We already had the shoes, so we added a pretty dress and made a hat (yes, I did crafts). We wrote “Maya the Good Witch” on the hat, and she was a big hit for Halloween night at the Zoo.

Mama was sick, so daddy had to step in for a lot of the activities.

Which is, of course, why we had a “pumpkin pi” this year. Marti thought it was very clever.

Afterwards, we made some brownies, because we weren’t sure the kids would have enough sugar to get by. They eventually collapsed on the floor in a sugar coma, letting us know it was time to stop.

And so goes another year and another Halloween…I will try to get more pictures up soon, including Maya in her Santa hat (coming in February, of course!)

  1. Thanks for another great laugh! You keep this up, I may be destined to live forever — with all the “good medicine” laughter you provide. (No, I promise I really won’t!)
