The family can’t seem to get better. First Maya is sick…then Ben…then Marti…then me…then Maya…then me… It’s an endless round. I think I might have strep throat this time.
News? Here it is. I am going to part-time work. Yay!!! Daycare is nearly half my salary, so we will hardly feel it. I am so tired right now I can’t wait.
It’s cold, cold, cold here in Tucson. I am tired of the cold. I don’t have sweaters or coats to deal with it and our heating bill was $200 last month. Ouch! The rest of the world is having an easy winter and here we are freezing our patooties off (that is a technical term).
Marti and celebrated our 6th anniversary last night, although my gift kind of sucked. I had hired a sitter from an agency for five hours. Five glorious hours for us! We could have dinner, AND see a movie! Except the sitter didn’t show up and finally arrived an hour and a half late. We missed the movie and ended up coming home early and falling asleep with Maya hacking and coughing between us. So much for romance.
I also broke my diet when we finally did go to dinner and gained back 3 pounds. Three pounds!! My body is waiting to pounce on me and gain all the weight I have slowly and painfully lost over weeks. So tomorrow I am on the veggie train again and hopefully those 3 pounds will come off faster the second time.

I’m with you on the cold weather! The usually nice and mild winter’s of southern california have been a tad colder than usual (22*) at night. I’m looking foward to some heat. Hope you all feel better soon, I’ll keep you in my prayers!
