Recently Marti was checking statistics on my blog and he noticed that I had 161,925 hits to my website for the month of July (up until today) and frankly, we were both mystified. I mean, who really wants to look at photos of my family or read my boring stories? Then he noticed that a website, called (warning: explicit images and language on this site) My blog is Poop, had a “best of Google” section that was sending thousands of hits my way every day (and posting a photo I blogged without permission). “My blog is Poop” noticed that if you go to Google and type in “handsome” (no quotes) and click on “images,” the first person to pop up is my dear friend Steve, who is not only handsome but also very bright, and married to my beautiful friend Sheleen. Did I mention that they are missionaries? Really humanitarians, but Steve is preparing to go back to the jungles of northern Thailand and work with refugees again. If I got a penny for every click on his picture, well…they wouldn’t have to be fundraising, now, would they?
Not that it matters, but Google’s No. 1 handsome man is also British. Regardless, here he is again — in his “handsome man” pose. 
So I am finally revealing a couple of weird obsessions…everyone has them, you know. Just watch that “Sex and the City” episode where Carrie tries to date someone who is perfectly normal. It’s not possible. But anyway, I love — love! — costumes, and I’ve always wanted to make a medieval/renaissance costume, like this one, a village wenches dress (some versions are, of course, sexier than others). I’ve also found that saying “wench costume” induces strange behavior in men. (more…)
