This is one of several strange statues on campus…this one vaguely reminiscent of a Native American (Yaqui maybe?) in traditional dress. Maya enjoyed pretending to fly off of it, not sure why, after she forced me to buy her a pastry and got hyped up on sugar. She went with me to Chinese class on Friday, because I was running late and I’ve already been late once. Two late days means I don’t get a 2% bonus as the end of the semester. Yes, I know, I’m the world’s worst person for being on time, but I’ve been 5-10 minutes early EVERY DAY for almost 3 weeks now, because PEOPLE, THERE IS A REWARD. Clearly, those who want me to show up on time need to provide a cookie, as I am still 10 years old inside.
