Single Evangelicals and More

A friend of mine recently had an extremely exhausting eight months extracating himself from a sticky situation with a “good Christian girl,” highlighting the difficulty of distinguishing between, well, good Christian girls and complete psychopaths. Apparently this is not a rare incident, according to this New York Times article which cautions couples from marrying simply because they believe that “…as long as you marry a Christian and you’re turned on to that person, that’s enough,” (NY Times, July 19, 2004). I assume that when they say “that’s enough,” they mean enough to actually marry that person and stay together long-term, because it probably is enough to have some wild Christian whoopee, for a while, anyway.

Interesting article, however, it leads me to wonder if I should feel enlightened,… or depressed?

    Relieved?

Good point, that’s probably the central idea here; Relieved!
